Group talk from the March issue of the said magazine. The yama focal point is very brief; but I decided to include the whole chunk of the conversation; simply because it's probably one of Arashi's 'forever unanswered mystery'; despite Ohno mentioning his parents often in public (as compared to the others, except for Aiba).

「メンバーの家族に会ったことはあるの？」

松本:  俺、リーダーの家族以外は、みんなに会ってると思うけど・・・・・。あ、たぶん翔くんの弟には会ったことないかな。
櫻井:  昔『ＷＥＳＴ　ＳＩＤＥ　ＳＴＯＲＹ』の舞台を見に来てたよ。
松本:  ああ、そうか！
相葉:  横浜アリーナでのライヴのときに会ったよね。
二宮:  そうそう。確か、家族全員来てたはず。
松本:  俺はニノのお母さんと智くんのご両親には、会ったことないんだよなぁ。
相葉:  俺もリーダーのとこだけは、あったことない。
二宮:  俺も。・・・・・ってことは、誰も会ったことがない？
松本:  なんで会わせてくれないわけ？
大野:  知らないよ(苦笑)
松本:  俺らに会いたくないってこと！？
大野:  会いたくないっていうか、これからも会う機会はないだろうな。だって楽屋に来ることもないし・・・・・。
相葉:  だから俺らがリーダーの家に遊びに行くって、前から言ってんじゃん！
松本:  そうだよ！
二宮:  いつも家族でゲームやってんでしょ？俺らもいっしょにやらせてよ！
松本:  まずは新年会かな。リーダーのお父さんの上司がいても平気だから、いっしょにやろう。
大野:  俺はいいんだけど、親がね・・・・・。
相葉:  ショック(苦笑)！
(一同笑い)
櫻井:  そんなに避けなくてもいいのに（笑）。
二宮:  ホントだよ。この調子じゃ、一生会えなさそう。
櫻井:  そもそも智くんのご両親がどんな人か、みんな知ってるの？例えば街ですれ違ったらわかる？
松本:  いや、きっとわかんないでしょう。
相葉:  だって、リーダーの親父さんって、いつもサングラスかけてるんでしょ(笑)？
松本:  今度、写真持ってきて。
大野:  写真かぁ・・・・・。でもさ、、ライヴ会場では会ったことあるでしょ？
櫻井:  それって、ステージから、客席にいる智くんのご両親を見ただろうってこと？
大野:  そうだよ。だって前に翔くん言ってたでしょ？(客席に)サングラスかけてる人を見つけたって。
櫻井:  それって、ニノじゃなかったかな？
大野:  いや、翔くん。だって(お父さんが)「翔と目が合った」って言ってたもん。
(一同爆笑)
櫻井:  何？俺、「翔」って呼ばれてんの(笑)？
大野:  うん。翔くんだけは「翔」だね。
二宮:  なんで、そんなふうにフレンドリーに呼んでるのになかなか会えないわけ！？
松本:  他のメンバーは、なんて呼ばれてんの？
大野:  ニノは「ニノ」で、マツジュンは「マツジュン」。それで、相葉ちゃんは・・・・・あれ？あんまり呼んでないかも(笑)。
二宮:  ちょっと大野さん！ほら、よく思い出してみて！１０年もいっしょにいるんだから、何かしら呼ぶ機会もあったでしょ？
大野:  「相葉くん」でもないし、「相葉ちゃん」もピンとこないし・・・・・。やっぱり、あんまり呼んでる印象がない。
(一同爆笑)
相葉:  そうか、俺もまだまだだな・・・・・(苦笑)。
二宮:  じゃあ、がんばろうよ。リーダーのご両親に認められるようにさ（笑）！
相葉:  それが１０周年に向けての課題！！

"Have you met the other member's family?"

J: I have met those aside from Leader's family, if I'm not mistaken... Ah, maybe I haven't met Sho-kun's brother yet.
S: Well, previously he came to watch "WEST SIDE STORY".
J: Ah, is that right?
A: We've also met (him) when we had our live concert in Yokohama Arena, haven't we?
N: Ah, that's right. If I remember correctly, the whole family should have came together.
S: I have never met Nino's mom and both of Satoshi-kun's parents, y'know...
A: I have never met Leader's parents too.
N: Me too. That means no one has ever met them?
J: Why on earth wouldn't you let us meet them?
O: How would I know? (bitter smile)
J: Is it because they don't want to meet us?
O: Rather than that, it's more that there were no opportunities for it, I think. I mean, they've never even been to our dressing room and such...
A: That's why we said we wanted to come over and visit your house since long time ago, Leader!
J: That's right!
N: You always played (video) games with your family right? Let us play with you guys then!
J: Let's start with New Year's party. It's fine even if Leader's dad's boss is there; so let's do it together.
O: It's fine with me, but my parents, you see...
A: I'm so shocked. (sarcastic laugh)
(Everyone laughs)
S: Even though there's no need to avoid (us) to that extent XD.
N: Really, if this is how it goes... we probably wouldn't be meeting for a lifetime.
S: Does anyone even knew the kind of people Satoshi-kun's parents are? For instance, if you passed by them on the street, would u notice?
J: Nah, for sure we won't, right?
A: After all, Leader's father wears sunglasses all the time, right? XD
J: Next time, please bring (their) photos.
O: Do I really have to...? But hey, you've met them at the concert venues, right?
S: You mean, seeing Satoshi-kun's parents on the audience seats while we're performing onstage?
O: Exactly. Besides, Sho-kun did mention it before, right? That you found a guy wearing sunglasses among the audience.
S: Wasn't that Nino?
O: Nope, it was Sho-kun. Because (my dad) said "My eyes met Sho's.".
(Everyone laughs)
S: What? I was referred to as "Sho"? XD
O: Yeap. Sho-kun is the only one he called "Sho".
(T/N: Ohno's father mentioned Sho by his given name; without any suffixes. For Japanese, this is often done only to those which one has very close relation with, or it would be considered as rude. But in this case, I think that it's actually an honor to be called so intimately by Ohno's father.)
N: How come he's calling in such a friendly manner despite hardly ever meeting?
J: How did he refer to the rest of the members?
O: Nino as "Nino", Matsujun as "Matsujun", Then, as for Aiba-chan... Eh? I think he hardly ever mentioned him. XD
N: Now wait a minute, Ohno-san. C'mon, try to recall again carefully. I'm sure after 10 years together, there should have been times that he's mentioning (Aiba).
O: It's not "Aiba-kun", I couldn't recall ever hearing "Aiba-chan" either... For sure, there's hardly any memories of him being mentioned.
(Everyone laughs)
A: I see. I guess I still have such a long way to go... (wry smile)
N: Well, just try your best, okay? So that you'll get noticed by Leader's parents. XD
A: That shall be a challenge to be faced for the 10th year anniversary~
